ARTIST STATEMENT
My art pieces are intended to capture the attention of those who live every
moment of their lives as the last. In other words, the observation of these make
them understand the essence of life itself, its realities full of light and dark, shapes
and vibrant colors. The main reason harmonizes with around resulting in a
condescending between figure and background. This creates a dynamic in
composition between the lines and spaces. Looking at these paintings our
imaginations travel through time and make us realize our origins and the balance
between us and nature .
Between 1991 and 1993, completed postgraduate studies at the Academy The
Arts Student League of New York in color composition, assembly and portrait with
renowned teachers as Pitter Cox, Leo Manso , Nelson Shanks and others.
In 1995 earned MA in Bilingual Education at City college of New York, Cum Laude. Later He received a
scholarship from the Spanish Embassy,in 2003,and studied Arts History and Literature at
the University of Salamanca. Graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2005.
Between 1982 and 2012 he participated in numerous group exhibitions and solo shows in RD, and USA started working in Post Secondary education, in 1992, School New York as Permanent Professor of Arts and Literature.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Visual Dominican artist who moved to the United States attracted by the great
museums,and magical repetition of the geometric figures, of New York. From an early
age he devoted himself to the Visuals Arts, being self-taught in music ,
photography, drawing , and painting. He entered the School of Fine Arts in Santiago City and graduated in 1980. Later studied a BA in PUCMM in Philosophy
and Literature. Also, He worked there as Technician of Audio-Visual Production .

JAZZ IN BLUES / MERENJAZZ SERIES, 2010, 2014
"Jazz in Blues" and " Merenjazz", my last productions, are a serie of paintings dedicated to all artist women around the world. Their professional interests and tasks of daily life,full of sophistication, simplicity, and simulating relaxing moments. They bond to music or dancing their natural environment. They show shorts posing movements. The sweetness, magic and peace round this paradox in these paintings. |
